Nivel de premio

An award tier is a defined level within a recognition program, such as gold, silver and bronze, or club, circle and pinnacle. Tiers let one program recognise different levels of achievement while keeping a single visual identity across every piece.

Why programs use tiers

A single award type forces a binary outcome: you won or you did not. Tiers create a ladder, which is more useful commercially because it gives more people something to aim at and gives the organisation a way to reward consistent performers as well as exceptional ones.

Tiers also solve a budget problem. Producing one flagship piece and a larger run of lower tiers costs far less than making every recipient a flagship award, while the top tier keeps its status precisely because there are fewer of them.

Making the hierarchy visible

A tier structure only works if the difference is obvious without reading the plate. The usual levers are size, material, weight and finish: the top tier might be taller, made in metal or given a hand applied finish, while lower tiers use the same silhouette in a lighter material.

The mistake to avoid is designing three unrelated awards. The set should read as a family, so a recipient moving up a tier sees a clear progression rather than a different object.

How Fabit builds tiered programs

Fabit designs tiered premios de reconocimiento corporativo from one base geometry, then differentiates by material, height and finish. That keeps the program coherent and the cost per piece lower than designing each tier separately, and it makes repeat editions straightforward. Common mistakes with tiered programs

The first mistake is too many tiers. Beyond three or four levels the hierarchy stops meaning anything and recipients cannot tell where they sit. The second is making the lower tiers feel cheap: if the entry tier looks like a giveaway, it demotivates the people it was meant to encourage. A smaller version of a good object beats a large version of a poor one.

The third is leaving personalisation to the end. Names, years and figures should be part of the design so the text sits in a considered position. The fourth is forgetting the next edition. Tiers that cannot be extended force a redesign the moment a new category is added, which is avoidable by planning the family from the start.
