Marathon medals
A marathon medal is the one thing every finisher keeps. It hangs on doors and desks for years and gets photographed more than the finish line itself. Fabit designs custom marathon and finisher medals in 3D and produces them in any shape, for fields from a few hundred to tens of thousands of runners.
Finisher medals runners actually show off
Most race medals are a round blank with a print. The medals people post, collect and come back for are different: a shape that tells the story of the course, the city or the edition.
We design each medal as a small sculpture: skyline cutouts, course maps in relief, spinning elements, bottle openers, glow layers or interlocking series medals that complete over multiple editions and keep runners registering year after year.
From one 3D design to tens of thousands of medals
We design in 3D, so you approve a realistic render of the exact medal before production starts. Production is planned for your field size and your race date, with die cast zinc alloy, stamped metal or premium combinations depending on the design.
Ribbons are part of the design, not an afterthought: woven or printed lanyards in your race identity, matched to the medal.
Skyline cutouts, course reliefs, spinners and multi year series: we design the shape around your race, not around what a catalog happens to offer.
From a few hundred finishers to a big city field, production is planned for your numbers and your date, with quality checks per batch and packaging per wave if you need it.
Design and engineering happen at Fabit in Antwerp, production is managed by one team with one point of contact, and delivery is planned backwards from race day.

What is the minimum quantity for custom marathon medals?
We produce from a few hundred medals up to tens of thousands. The right production method depends on your numbers; we advise die cast, stamped or hybrid production based on your field size and design, and quote per project.
How far in advance should we order?
For a safe timeline, start the design a few months before race day. That leaves room for 3D design, your approval, production and shipping without rush fees. Later than planned? Tell us the race date and we check honestly whether it is feasible.
Can the medal be a completely custom shape?
Yes, fully custom is the point. Shape, thickness, cutouts, relief depth, spinning parts, colour fills and finishes are all designed for your race. You approve a 3D render of the exact medal before we produce anything.
Are the ribbons custom too?
Yes. Woven or sublimation printed ribbons carry your race identity, sponsor marks and edition year. We match ribbon width and colours to the medal so the whole piece feels designed as one.
Are there sustainable options?
Yes. Recycled zinc alloy, wood and combinations with recycled materials are all options, and we advise honestly about what each choice means for look, weight and durability.
