The official championship trophy for the University CTF 2025, combining a seasonal Christmas-inspired concept with the distinctive visual identity of Hack The Box.

The University CTF trophy required the Christmas-inspired concept to be integrated in a way that complemented the Hack The Box brand rather than competing with it. Maintaining a strong connection to the platform’s established visual identity was essential to the success of the project.

At the same time, the two-part composition needed to achieve consistency in colour, finish, and presentation quality across both elements. The challenge was to create a trophy that felt distinctive to the 2025 edition while remaining immediately recognisable as part of the broader Hack The Box ecosystem.

Matériaux

The trophy is produced using additive manufacturing, enabling the precise geometry and fit required for the two-part design.

The outer element is finished in vibrant lime green, while the inner element is presented in deep dark blue. Both surfaces receive a satin finish that enhances colour depth while maintaining a refined and consistent appearance across the completed award.

Together, these materials and finishes create a trophy that balances visual impact, durability, and brand recognition while reinforcing the identity of the University CTF.

The design is built around the signature Hack The Box colour palette, ensuring the trophy remains instantly recognisable as part of the platform’s competitive ecosystem. The seasonal inspiration adds a distinctive character to the 2025 edition while preserving continuity with the broader brand identity.

Finition raffinée

Each element is individually finished to achieve consistent colour saturation and a uniform satin appearance. Final inspection ensures the completed trophy presents as a cohesive object, creating an award that stands out during presentation, photography, and celebration while maintaining a strong connection to the competition it represents.

For the University CTF 2025, Fabit designed and produced a championship trophy that translates a festive theme into a form that remains unmistakably connected to the Hack The Box brand. While inspired by the visual language of the holiday season, the project places the platform’s identity at the centre of the design through the use of its defining lime green and dark blue colour palette.

The trophy consists of two interlocking elements, each finished in one of Hack The Box’s signature colours and presented with a refined satin surface finish. This approach creates a clear visual relationship between the competition, the platform behind it, and the unique character of the 2025 edition.

The result is a championship award that balances brand recognition, seasonal storytelling, and contemporary presentation. By combining a distinctive annual theme with an established visual identity, the trophy creates a memorable symbol of achievement for the competition’s winners.
