About this case

For Hack The Box, Fabit designed and produced the championship trophy for the University CTF 2024. Inspired by the competition’s Cyber Western theme, the project translated a distinctive visual concept into a physical award that celebrates both creativity and achievement within the cybersecurity community.

The trophy takes the form of a miniature saloon environment, populated with recognisable Wild West-inspired details including cacti, skulls, and swinging saloon doors. Each element contributes to a cohesive visual narrative, encouraging exploration from every angle and rewarding close inspection. Rather than functioning solely as a presentation piece, the trophy creates an immersive world that reflects the character of the competition itself.

The result is a championship award that combines storytelling, craftsmanship, and technical precision. Through its detailed composition and hand-finished presentation, the trophy captures the identity of the University CTF while creating a memorable symbol of achievement for its winners.

The University CTF trophy required the Cyber Western theme to be translated into a highly detailed physical object while maintaining clarity, coherence, and presentation quality.

Every miniature element needed to contribute to the overall narrative without overwhelming the composition. At the same time, the trophy had to remain recognisable as a championship award rather than simply a themed display piece.
