About this case

For ESL Pro League, Fabit designed and produced a distinctive trophy celebrating one of the most recognized competitions in esports.

Since its launch in 2015, the ESL Pro League has brought together the world’s best Counter Strike teams to compete for international prestige and major prize pools. The trophy needed to reflect the scale and excitement of the event while standing out both on stage and on broadcast.

Using advanced 3D printing and handcrafted finishing techniques, Fabit created a trophy that combines modern design with striking visual contrast.

The challenge

The ESL Pro League required a trophy that matched the prestige and global visibility of the tournament.

With millions of viewers watching the event worldwide, the design had to be visually striking on stage and instantly recognizable on broadcast. At the same time, the trophy needed to maintain a premium finish and structural durability.

The goal was to create a modern championship trophy that balanced bold aesthetics with functional design.

Materials

The ESL Pro League trophy was produced using high precision 3D printing, allowing complex geometry and controlled structural integrity.

The core of the trophy was manufactured in TPU and finished with a gold spray layer followed by genuine gold leaf, giving the centerpiece its distinctive shine.

The base was 3D printed and carefully hand sanded before receiving a matte black finish. The ESL logo was hand painted in silver, creating a sharp contrast against the dark base.

This combination of materials and finishes gives the trophy its recognizable black and gold identity.

Concept driven design

Working closely with ESL, the Fabit design team explored multiple directions to capture the spirit of the Pro League.

The final design focuses on a clean and modern silhouette that stands out both in arena lighting and in broadcast close ups.

Advanced manufacturing

Using high precision 3D printing allowed the team to produce complex shapes that would be extremely difficult to achieve using traditional manufacturing techniques.

Each component was carefully refined to ensure structural stability and a flawless surface before finishing.

Hand finished details

The golden core was finished with gold leaf detailing, while the matte black base provides contrast and visual balance.

Every trophy was manually finished and inspected to ensure a premium result worthy of the ESL Pro League champions.
