About this case

For BLAST TV, Fabit designed and produced the BLAST Slam Trophy, a custom recognition award created for one of esports’ most visually engaging competitive environments.

The trophy needed to reflect the energy, spectacle, and technological character of modern esports. Designed for both live events and broadcast environments, the object had to create a strong visual presence on stage while remaining unmistakably connected to the BLAST brand.

The result is a faceted diamond-shaped trophy finished with a chameleon coating that shifts between blue and purple depending on lighting conditions and viewing angle. Embossed logo elements are integrated directly into the form, creating a design where brand identity and geometry become one. The changing surface effect ensures the trophy presents a different character from every perspective, making it a fitting symbol for a dynamic and highly visual competition.

The challenge

The BLAST Slam Trophy needed to perform across multiple environments, from live stages and broadcast studios to photography and social media content.

The challenge was to create an object that remained visually distinctive under changing lighting conditions while integrating the BLAST identity directly into the design. The trophy had to balance strong geometric form with a finish capable of delivering a memorable visual experience from every angle.

The trophy is defined by its faceted diamond geometry and dynamic chameleon finish. The colour-shifting surface transitions between blue and purple depending on light and perspective, creating an appearance that is constantly evolving.

Embossed logo elements are integrated directly into the form, becoming part of the object’s structure rather than applied decoration. Together, the geometry, branding, and finish create a trophy that is both visually striking and instantly recognizable.
