About this case

For Riot Games, Fabit designed and produced the EMEA Masters Trophy 2024, a custom recognition award created to celebrate one of Europe’s most prestigious esports competitions.

The trophy needed to capture the ambition, energy, and competitive spirit that define the championship. The challenge was to create an object that communicated achievement and aspiration through form alone, resulting in a design that feels both dynamic and symbolic.

The result is a sculptural trophy composed of a black base and silver upper form that come together in a frozen splash-like composition. Suspended above the structure, a silver star appears to float in space, representing the ultimate goal pursued by every competing team. Together, these elements create a striking visual expression of movement, achievement, and competitive excellence.

The challenge

EMEA Masters required a trophy capable of representing the prestige of the competition while creating a memorable visual identity on stage, in broadcast environments, and across digital content.

The challenge was to combine dynamic movement and symbolic meaning within a single object while ensuring every element worked together as a cohesive and recognisable championship trophy.

Materials

The trophy is defined by two contrasting elements that form a unified composition. A black lower section and metallic silver upper section combine to create a splash-inspired form that captures a moment of energy and motion.

Above the main structure, a silver star appears to float above the trophy, creating a powerful focal point and reinforcing the aspirational nature of the competition. The contrast between finishes, forms, and visual weight gives the trophy its distinctive presence.
