A bespoke championship trophy created for Red Bull’s Features Cup in Norway, combining the visual language of traditional sporting silverware with the culture and character of competitive snowboarding.

For Red Bull, Fabit produced the Features Cup Trophy 2026, a custom championship award created for the brand’s snowboard competition in Norway.

The project centred on creating a trophy that felt immediately recognisable as a championship cup while establishing a distinct identity rooted in the sport itself. Rather than relying solely on branding, the design communicates its purpose through a series of symbolic elements that reference snowboarding, exploration, and the environment in which the competition takes place.

The result is a trophy defined by a chrome gold finish, crowned by a snowboarder performing a handplant above the cup. Globe-inspired handles frame the central form, while snowflake and folklore-inspired surface details introduce additional layers of meaning and visual interest. Combined with a signature Red Bull blue base, these elements create a championship trophy that commands attention while celebrating the spirit of the competition it represents.

The Features Cup required a trophy capable of carrying the authority of a traditional championship cup while reflecting the unique identity of a contemporary snowboarding competition.

Every element needed to contribute to a recognisable and cohesive visual language. The snowboarder figure, globe-inspired handles, and detailed surface relief all played an important role in establishing the trophy’s character, while the overall composition needed to maintain the balance, presence, and prestige expected of a championship award.

Materialen

The trophy combines a reflective chrome gold finish with a signature blue base, creating a strong visual contrast that reinforces both championship status and brand identity.

The chrome gold surface gives the award its defining presence, capturing light and creating a sense of depth that elevates the sculptural qualities of the design. Above the cup, the snowboarder figure serves as a visual focal point, while the globe-inspired handles and snowflake-inspired details add layers of symbolism connected to the competition and its environment.

Together, these elements create a trophy that feels both familiar and distinctive, balancing the heritage of traditional sporting cups with the culture of modern snowboarding.
