For BVBA Pietersproductions, Fabit designed and produced the trophy for the BKO tennis competition, creating a recognition object that brings a contemporary design language to the traditional sports award.

The trophy needed to stand apart from conventional sporting trophies. Rather than relying on decorative elements, the design focused on form, material quality, and visual restraint. The challenge was to create an award that felt premium and distinctive while maintaining a strong presence worthy of competition winners.

The result is a sculptural block-shaped trophy finished in deep black with a refined matte coating. Three-dimensional lettering elements are integrated into the design, adding contrast and identity while preserving the simplicity of the overall form. The combination of geometric clarity, premium finishing, and restrained detailing creates an award that feels both contemporary and enduring.

De uitdaging

The BKO tennis competition required a trophy that reflected the quality and ambition of the event while distinguishing itself from more traditional sports awards.

The design needed to communicate value through its proportions, finish, and material presence rather than ornamentation. At the same time, the identity of the competition had to be integrated into the object in a way that felt intentional and cohesive.

Materialen

The trophy is defined by its geometric block form and deep black finish. A premium matte coating creates a smooth, refined surface that enhances the simplicity of the design and gives the object a distinctive visual depth.

Three-dimensional lettering elements are integrated into the form, creating a subtle contrast that reinforces the identity of the competition while maintaining the trophy’s clean and architectural appearance.

From concept to ceremony

From initial design development to final production, every stage focused on translating a simple geometric concept into a premium recognition object defined by quality, precision, and restraint.

Contemporary sports recognition

The design reinterprets the traditional sports trophy through a contemporary lens. Clean geometry, restrained detailing, and a premium finish create an object that feels relevant beyond the moment of presentation.

Precision production

The trophy’s simple appearance relies on careful execution. Geometric accuracy, consistent surface quality, and seamless integration of the lettering elements ensure the design is realised exactly as intended.
